Valentia Does It Again!

Remember last year when I did that post in the Valentia Vitamin C serum that set me over the moon? Yeah, it was wonderful, and so when the company reached out to me again to test s few of their new products, I was thrilled.

I was sent two items, the True Glow Eye serum and the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask. One of the things that I really love about Valentia is their ingredients list. Like, seriously everything used can be listed on the back of the box in regular sized font. No names that I can barely pronounce and things that are already familiar. The ingredients list on this is ridiculously simple, Japanese, Aloe Vera, Seabuckthorn Oil (that I’ve previously raved about), Japanese Green Tea and Rosehip Seed Oil. Yeah, just that.

This will cost you $25 from either Amazon or the Valentia Site, and for $25 you’re not going to get any sort of fancy packaging, but you will get 4oz of the absolutely most amazing frikkin mask that you’ve ever used. I don’t even know how this thing works but, I’ll take it. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

When you think of a mask most likely you’re thinking of something that dries on your face that you then have to wash off. This is different. It’s a gel like consistency that doesn’t really dry, but more like fades into the skin, and it smells divine.

Weird looking huh? But what a flipping gem. They way to use this is to let it sit on your face for 15 to 30 minutes, then you either wash it off with warm water or a warm, wet cloth. Now, you guys know that my skin is ridiculously sensitive, and had I not been familiar with brand, when the tingling started, I would have panicked. Then I saw the warning on the label that a little tingling is normal. Just to be on the safe side though, I only kept it on for 15 minutes, then I washed it off. The results were immediate.

Listen, I’ve been blessed with a husband that is very in-tune with my beauty rituals and and is very interested in all that stuff. He stops just short of applying my makeup for me, and he refuses to let me test shades on him, everyone has their limits I suppose. But, he’s as honest as I am and like my nieces, he will let me know when something is horrible. So when I walked out of the bathroom five minutes after removing this, and he said “wow, you’re glowing!” I knew I had a winner.

I can’t really explain what it does to my skin, I just know that when I use this mask, my face just looks healthier. My skin appears more hydrated and even toned. And though I don’t have wrinkles, my acne marks do look diminished for days afterwards. I’m so addicted to it that I’m tempted to use it a few times a week. I don’t, I’ve used it about once a week in the month or so that I’ve had it, the rare exception being when I’m super tired and my face just looks very blotchy, it’s my emergency pick me up in a jar, I just use this before bed and I know that when I wake up, even if I’m not, I’ll look well rested and glowing.

Now you guys know that I’m not a huge fan of eye serums, I think it’s a couple of things. One being I’m really too impatient to do the tapping that’s involved with applying eye creams so that you don’t do more damage to the eye area. Second, I’m always afraid that I’ll do more harm than good to that area with the cream. And for some reason, I’m convinced that when I use an eye cream, I’ll wake up with my eyes swollen shut. Yeah. Because I was generously sent this and I did promise to do a review, I crossed my fingers and hoped one of my eyeballs didn’t fall out of the socket.

The ingredients list for this is also quite simple. Rosehip Seed Oil, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Arnica which a plant in the daisy family known to be effective with the treatment of bruises. Plant Stem Cells, CoQ10 and Silk Amino Acid which helps to decrease puffiness. This also has a very unique light reflecting property that haven’t ever seen in an eye cream.

Now, I don’t use this nearly as much as I use the mask, cause lazy. But honestly the very few times that I have used it overnight? My dark circles simply disappeared, I promise you I was as surprised as you are. Does this mean that I’ll use it more? Probably not, I still have my hang ups after all, but I will give me this to my sister whose dark circles actually look like black eyes, she will benefit more from this than I will. You can also find this on Amazon, and it will cost you $25 as well.

Final Thoughts.

It’s really great when you find a brand that uses great ingredients that actually work isn’t it? I’ve also received a new serum from them for review so stay tuned for that, and hopefully I will be able to get a coupon code for readers. But even if I don’t the products are worth so much more than their price point. Products that work? Check. Safe ingredients for super sensitive skin? Check. Competitive price points? Check. Valentia just keeps knocking it out the park. I’m just waiting for them to expand their range to moisturisers and cleansers!

These products were provided for the purposes of review. All opinions are as usual my very own.
