(Re-Upload) Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipstick.

IMAG3221

I’m not the hugest fan of Tarte lip products. I find that a lot of times the textures are so thick that they can come off looking rather clayish. Which is a good and bad thing. Good cause that means that they have a lot of coverage. But bad in that the high coverage can make them look unnatural and not only cakey, but collect in the creases of the lips.

(Re-Upload) Tarte Double Duty Beauty Eye & Cheek Palette.

IMAG3225

This is the only item that I’d picked up from the Double Duty line. If you remember I’d said that I didn’t care for most of the line, and I don’t but these two little palettes were just so cute that I couldn’t resist. The one that I got, Sultry Star Power, I chose simply because the blush looked doable for my skin tone. I wasn’t really sold on the colours in the palette, but as usual Tarte outfoxed me with their eye shadows.

(Re-Upload) Tarte LE Tarteist Blush Palette.

IMAG3704

I got this as part of my Ulta Platinum Haul, this isn’t going to be an overly long post as there isn’t a whole lot to say beyond ranting and screaming. I bought, I saw, I was epically disappointed.

This is one of the latest of the Tarteist collection, I love Tarte blushes so I jumped on the chance to get four of them in one slim palette for only $38, plus with points and a 20% off coupon, my entire order was less than $10 more than the price of this palette. I thought I’d made out like a bandit. Until I had the palette in hand.

(REUPLOAD) OK, So We’re Gonna Try This Again: Round 2 With A Tarte Blush Palette. Amazonian Clay Colour Wheel Blush Palette.

Holiday sets are making their way onto the scene slowly, but surely and it’s not even frikkin October yet. Just a note on that by the way. Last year I did almost all of the holiday sets from the majors brands, and to say most of it was a disappointment would be to live in understatement. This year, I’m not doing that. I will most likely get a few of the larger brands, but for the most part, I’ll be sticking with smaller brands, and most of the money that I’ve budgeted towards holiday sets, will probably go towards exploring brands that I’ve wanted to for some time now. Brands like Make Beauty, Honest Beauty and such. Too Faced is completely off my radar because everything looks exactly like it did last year, so…

(REUPLOAD) The Year in Makeup Favourites 2016.

Happy freaking new year ya’ll!! I promise in 2017, I’m gonna get my blogging life together. Maybe. Ok, probably not but I’m gonna try real hard. This year was just a complete a-hole that you wanted to throat punch constantly, and it ended with George Michael dying on frikkin CHRISTMAS DAY!!! Like, what the actual F%$K 2016?!

I drove to my sisters house jamming to Last Christmas (best Christmas song EVER), and came home to Twitter on fire. I always snicker when I hear people upset about celebrities that die, like what the hell, do you even know them? Can I just say though?

This one hurt, really badly. I’m sure he’d never remember me, but not only have I been absolutely in love with George Michael since I was ten, but I’ve met him a few times when I was working for a magazine and wound up repeatedly at NYFW much to my dismay.

He was friends with the original super models and a slew of the designers so he could usually be seen in the tents in the early 90’s. Talk about a ridiculously kind, humble, personable individual that always seemed slightly uncomfortable with the adulation he received. Beyond that, there was just some indefinable quality about his music, post Faith after he found his own voice, that’s simultaneously uplifting and despairing. Listen Without Prejudice Vol. I is still my favourite album. So really, is anyone reealllyy sad to see 2016 go?
