@Ulta + NYX July Birthday Gift & Why We Should All Be Pissed

I’ve stated repeatedly that if not for being able to find more of the high end brands that I prefer at Sephora and Sephora’s own collection, I’d probably shop at Ulta exclusively. They have a much better rewards programs, it’s light years ahead of Sephora’s. But I also like their high-end, low-end model because it’s a one stop shop. One of the programs that both retailers have and suck at is the birthday rewards program. Sephora has recently gotten marginally by better offering multiple choices, but it’s still geared towards pale people. Ulta? Well…

NYX Ombre Blushes.

As usual, NYX went and debuted a buttload of stuff for Spring. I didn’t as nuts as I usually do, mostly because everything looked so amazing that  couldn’t really make my mind up. But also, a lot of things just basically dupes of each other, like all the contouring stuff. I do mean to get a couple of other things, but since I’m a blush hoarder that’s what I started with.

NYX Go-To Palettes.

I for serious wish that NYX would debut all their new stuff at once, you know, to save this princess from having to order like every flippin’ week.

NYX Avant Pop Artist Palettes.

NYX is at it again ya’ll. They just don’t give a girl time between the last round of buying before they shove something new in her face. I can’t breathe boo, you’re smothering me!

There is so much new stuff on the NYX site, it’s hard to decide what I just want because of kitsch factor, or because I really really want it. I’m not even gonna try the need word, cause at this point in my makeup life, there is rarely anything that I need.

What’s New At The Drugstore: All These Nyx Cheek Products.

I’d started this off by just doing a review on all the rest of my Nyx purchases, but it was getting extremely long and picture heavy so I split em up. Anywhoo…

My Nyx haul was all kinds of fail. Well the portion of it that came from Nyx itself was anyway, Ulta came through is about five days products perfectly intact. Nyx took 17 days and damn near everything was broken. Yeah. They were pretty nice about it though once I reached out them on Twitter about the fiasco. They told me not to bother sending the broken items back, but they still gave me a full refund while letting me keep the unbroken items.

The Items that I’d gotten from Nyx were three of their Duochromatic Illuminating Powders ($8) and that shade of the Total Control Drop Foundation in Mocha which I’d come to realise would be the wrong colour.
