Tips & Tricks For Flattering Your Eye Shape.

A couple of months ago, when I’d done the Sephora Marsala Palette review, I’d gotten into a conversion with Elizabeth I think, about eye shapes and how they affect the way you apply shadow, how long said shadow is likely to last, as well as whatever transfer may or may not happen. People have all types of eye shapes, some come in one flavour, others in a mixture.

Personally, my eye shape is a mixture of about three different types. I have deep set eyes that are almond shaped. The deep set of my eye sockets, makes shadow transfer and muddy looking colour very common. Certain brands of eye shadow like Too Faced, Coastal Scents or Tarte work best for me because they rarely transfer from my lower lid to the upper, and don’t become muddy. The almond shape and the small size of my eyes, makes liquid liner very hard to apply, and because of the height of my cheekbones, my eyes are also slightly upturned at the corners. I’ve come up, over much trial and error, with ways of making things work for me, knowing what I can and can’t do, and ways of accentuating, because I feel that my eyes are my best feature.

It’s Summer In Too Faced Land Again! (2015)

Oui mes amies, it’s that time of year again. The time when, although the temperatures haven’t skyrocketed as yet, Too Faced is already heating up the scene with their pretty pops of colour. I don’t know one girly girl at heart who doesn’t wait to see just what Mr Blandino has in stock for us each season.

Cargo Summer In The City Palette

You can blame catching up on season two of Orphan Black for the lack of a post yesterday. I got so caught up in being in love with Helena and all her crazy, that I spazzed on uploading this post, on to the business at hand.

One of the most underrated cosmetics brands out there is Cargo Cosmetics.

The Canadian brand seems to have become something of a niche brand, beloved by makeup artists and people that have been using it for eons, but not really on the radar of newer customers. That’s not all that surprising since the loudest voices are always the ones that are heard, and brands like Too Faced, Urban Decay and it’s ilk tend to be quite loud when it comes to making their presence known through adverts or social media campaigns.

So This Happened…

You may have noticed that I’ve been gone for a little while now, a little less than two weeks?

What happened was I tried to switch hosting companies and in the process not only lost my service for this long, but also wound up losing all my content and access to the site. Yeah. Four years, tons of media files and over 400 hundred posts, not to mention subscribers and what not. Thank god I still owned my domain name.

So now I’ll have to be building out the site again over the next few weeks so don’t be surprised if you see multiple posts pop up in your email box from time to time (speaking of, please go ahead and resubscribe). I’ll also be doing reviews of new items as I get them, and in the last couple weeks I’ve gotten a lot.

Welcome back to the craziness that is my life.
