NEW!! Jouer Cosmetics Limited Edition Spring Collection.

IMAG7309_1

Since I’ve been trying to get posts back on the site after losing most of them, I haven’t been doing a whole lot of purchasing because I’ve been distracted. But like the Too Faced collection, I had actually set an alarm for this launch way ahead of time and was checked out of the website probably five minutes after it dropped. In fact I was done minutes before I received the official launch email from Jouer. *attempts to pat self on back and fails*

The collection is mostly rose gold themed and contains an eye shadow palette, two lip products in a rose gold shade and a powder highlighter also in, yeah, rose gold.

The lip cream is probably my least favourite so far, but I sort of knew that going in.

Full Swing Into Spring (2016) With Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Collection (Foundation).

IMAG3218_1

Tarte’s Spring launch is just so darn pretty! Everything from the outer packaging to the tubes, to the colourful pieces is designed to make you swoon and lust after just about every piece in the collections, and there are a couple.

The Rainforest of The Sea Collection is made up of  6 shades of concealer, 12 shades of foundation and lipsticks, a colour correcting palette, a highlighting palette, two shadow palettes, various skin care items and tons of new brushes.

The Double Duty Collection, which is right now an Ulta exclusive, contains 2 shadow and blush palettes, 10 shades of liquid and powder foundation, 8 double sided lipstick and lip gloss combos, 3 shades of the Eye Architect Shadow and Liner pencils, 3 different types of double ended Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara, as well as a makeup bag and various brushes.

NEW! Kiko Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Less is Better Capsule Collection.

IMAG7246_1

To celebrate their 20th birthday, Kiko recently launched the limited edition Less is Better Collection. It consists of liquid highlighters, matte liquid lipsticks, two cream blushes, shadow pencils and a nine pan shadow palette. This collection is a collaboration with the brand SuperDuper Handmade hats, and is a completely nude collection meant to emphasise the no makeup look, whilst celebrating natural beauty. This is a limited edition collection that I find rather odd as a Spring debut. Spring makeup debuts are generally either bright or whimsical creatures, whereas this collection plays with very dark, yet muted colours that are usually associated with Fall or Winter.

New! Too Faced Natural Love Collection.

IMAG7233

I haven’t purchased a Too Faced palette since the Chocolate Bon Bons palette that I returned the next day. The brand’s recently been so hit or miss with their palettes that I’ve just been very meh about them and whenever there’s a new Too Faced launch I’m all…ok? When I saw this beauty though with thirty shades, my heart skipped a beat. In fact, my heart skipped a couple beats at the entire Natural Love collection and although the palette was on my list, the things that I truly wanted most was one of the new shades of Melted Matte liquid lipstick, and at least two of the three highlighters.

The aim of this collection is natural beauty, everything is supposed make you look gorgeous, but naturally so. On the face of it, it’s a gorgeous collection, but once you get to it…well…

This Is Probably The Best Blush Palette You’ll Ever Spend Money On

IMAG5891_1

I’ve had this palette for over a month now and I don’t think that I’ve used anything else since. For one thing the amount of shades that you get, and the differences between them, almost ensures that you’ll never have to look elsewhere.

Of course I’m talking about the Nars Unfiltered Blush Palette, in particular Unfiltered 1, the deeper, darker palette that everyone lost their damn minds over. There are two palettes, Unfiltered 1 is a mix of reds, plums, deep pinks as well as highlighters and a blush that doubles well as a blush topper. You get some mattes and some shimmer shades that aren’t too overwhelming, and for $60, you get six large pans that are almost the same size as a full sized Nars blush that you’ll have no trouble dipping a big fluffy brush into.

What’s New At The Drugstore: Maybelline

IMAG6286

Would you believe me if I told you that I’ve never used Maybelline Cosmetics? I mean granted I’ve only really just started using drugstore makeup, but you would think right? But nope.

What really made me pick up these items other than the fact that they were pretty as hell, was that when I did my drugstore haul from Ulta, they were having five times points on Maybelline, L’Oreal and Nyx. I was already gonna get a bunch of Nyx and L’Oreal stuff, so I figured why not. By the way, my drugstore haul cost about $125, but I got back $80 in points, so basically I paid about $45 for everything tax included. Ulta for the win, if they had more prestige brands, I wouldn’t need to shop at Sephora at all.

Spring Launches: Clinique BIY Blend It Yourself Adjusting Drops.

IMAG6274

Lemme tell you, this thing made me so freaking mad! So mad, that I may have tweeted something really bitchy at Clinique. Maybe.

This is a colour adjustment, high pigment liquid just like the Cover Fx drops. There are twelve shades, and I’d estimate that about four of them fall into the tan to dark range. As of right now this is an Ulta exclusive and I chose my shade, 155 the second to last, on a wing, a prayer and the iffy swatch provided on the Ulta site since there are no colour descriptors on the site, this is where Sephora has Ulta beat most of the time.
