Y’all…why did I completely forget to upload the post for yesterday? Oh yeah, probably because I have a lung infection all I wanted to do was get some sleep last night. Don’t worry, better late than never and since it’s a video no harm no foul. It’s a long on though so settle in to see me in my true form, a total and absolute ass.
I’ve been doing a lot of foundation samples lately. Sephora has been throwing them at me and I’ve just been out here catching them like, yep, ok thanks. Because I’m a foundation hoarder and hey, if I don’t have to buy before I try without going into a store? Yeah I’m there for that. The thing about foundation samples though, at least the deluxe ones often offered by Sephora and other places, is that usually they don’t go beyond tan. So a dusky girl like myself, is often SOL.
I’ve been loving the new Sephora Collection additions lately. The newest items added to my arsenal include the new Make No Mistake Foundation Stick, the Tinted Cooling eye primer and although not really new, I picked up two of the new shades of the Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick.
When Fiona Stiles hit Ulta about…I wanna say maybe a year and a half ago? I was intrigued. I liked the look of the packaging, and the colour combinations looked interesting. But…I’d never heard of Fiona Stiles. Like who was this chick and why was I supposed to care that she had a makeup line now? The price point became the second issue for me. I’m not about to drop almost forty dollars on a single product from a brand that I know nothing about, that’s barely been reviewed. Nah.
I swear though, I just troll through beauty sites trying to buy stuff. I mean, I have to be trying cause I don’t in fact need a damn thing. You may never have heard of Lottie London, don’t worry you’re not alone. It’s a drugstore brand, and from what I can tell it’s British. Don’t quote me though, because I’m still a little confused as to their origins. In any case, Lottie London is pretty inexpensive. The most dear thing in the line are the shadow palettes and those clock in at twelve bucks.
Y’all…I got about five minutes so lets do this thing. I don’t think anyone hates summer more that I do. Most people look forward to summer, I look forward to the end of it. It’s just yuck, especially if you live in the hothouse south where the season should just be called humidity, not summer. I’m a chick that loves her makeup, and also stockpiles foundation for the apocalypse. Now imagine living in Humidityville and having combo-oily skin. It ain’t cute, nope.
