This post is over two month’s in the making, but you know, time constraints and what not. And oh yeah, because I pretty much hated all of it. So now I have these lovely pictures for you g guys. Let me just say first off that I’m really not a huge Smashbox fan, the only two things I’ve ever been impressed with is the Liquid Halo foundation and the original primer. Maybe a lipstick or two. I know a lot of people swear by them, but I dunno, their stuff just never seems to work out for me, so I’m not really sure why I keep bothering. But I’ve made up my mind that this is gonna be my last Smashbox purchase unless it’s foundation. Their stuff always looks so colourful ad intriguing though, that I end up getting suckered in.
These are some of the items that I got from MUABS.com. The seller, Brenda aka Omgmakeup, sells only new items at a fraction of the cost. There are actually a few sellers on the site for whom it’s a business and they only sell new makeup. When I’ve purchased stuff from the site I usually only purchase from Omgmakeup and Nya90. Because let’s get real, this is a makeup site for deeply discounted makeup, and I get that the others are also selling new items, but if I wanted to pay full price, I’d just go to Sephora. Use this link for omgmakeup’s MUABS shop and this one for Nya90. I’ve purchased from both a few times and each time I haven’t been disappointed with my stuff when I get it. In all from Omgmakeup I spent $142 for $283 worth of brand new items, cause this wasn’t the only thing that I got from her shop. So yeah, MUABS is a good place to find bargains, you just have to be careful of the scammers cause there are some, always use PayPal and you’re covered.
Good morning beauties! And I do mean morning, since I’m writing this the day of at about 9:30am. I’m finally (mostly) able to sit up now, although not for very long stretches. Can I just tell you though? I never realised just how many things you use your back for till this little incident. I’m for real about to get into the gym with the quickness to do some back training exercises because the last week has been frustratingly frustrating.
Anywhoo, I have such a pile of stuff to review for you guys, and I feel like I’ve reached a huge saturation point with my make up, so much so that I need to get rid of most of it, and pare it down to the things that I truly love. That’s gonna be hard for me since I can’t stand to part with my crap. But that’s a story for another day, on to the review.
So we’re still calling over highlighting ourselves strobing then? Hmm, okie dokie.
Well, for those of us that like to pretend as if we’re an understudy for a disco ball, Pur Cosmetics has got you covered.
Autumn is officially here. In makeup land anyway. It seems like every year the new collections debut earlier and earlier, soon we’ll be having the Autumn in June. Which you know, won’t suck because I tend to prefer the Fall offerings anyway cause the colour schemes are generally the ones that I prefer cause I’m a boring bitch.
I’ve never tried any Soap & Glory products. They’re like the British drugstore version of Benefit with a very retro look and feel, and colour wise, they’re about as inclusive it seems. In any case it was there and at only $15 each, I had a hard time choosing between this, and two blushes from the brand. Since I’m rapidly becoming a finishing powder/highlighter fiend I went with this.
Did I mention where I’m completely obsessed with Giorgio Armani? I mean, two of my favourite foundations are Armani, and for a long time I wanted to try the Fluid Sheers, but I couldn’t really figure out what they were at first. Where they blush? Luminiser? What the heck are they?!?! Then they’re truly huge, a little over an ounce for $62, plus with 18 shades my confusion just blossomed and I sort of gave up on trying to narrow down the perfect shade, since I wasn’t going to get three or four at that price point.
This is my first bonafide Jouer purchase. I remember that I got a lip gloss in a Glossybox some time ago, and while I thought it was ok, I didn’t run out and get a bunch of stuff from the brand because I wasn’t all that impressed cause, I’m not a gloss kinda chick. And real talk? It seemed like a real white identified line.
First off, I want to apologise for the dismal condition of some of the photos. My camera broke and I had to send it in for repairs, thus resulting in my using my very old phone camera to take the remainder of the pictures, now…
This thing was such a colossal pain in the butt. I had to actually purchase this twice. Why you ask? Ok, lemme tell you. You know that magazine that Ulta sends out? It had this listed as part of a set with the new Duo Brush. Well, when I got mine…there was no brush, so I called Ulta.com and they told me that the couldn’t send a brush out to me if it had been part of a set, but here was a nice $10 gift card for all my troubles…
So apparently, I’ve developed quite the Makeup Revolution crush haven’t I?
These two blush palettes are also new launches, or at lease that’s what it said on the website, who knows sometimes brands leave “newly” launched things on front page for months.
