NEW!! Jouer Cosmetics Limited Edition Spring Collection.

IMAG7309_1

Since I’ve been trying to get posts back on the site after losing most of them, I haven’t been doing a whole lot of purchasing because I’ve been distracted. But like the Too Faced collection, I had actually set an alarm for this launch way ahead of time and was checked out of the website probably five minutes after it dropped. In fact I was done minutes before I received the official launch email from Jouer.

The collection is mostly rose gold themed and contains an eye shadow palette, two lip products in a rose gold shade and a powder highlighter also in rose gold.

The lip cream is probably my least favourite so far, but I sort of knew that going in.

(Re-Upload) Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation

IMAG3185_1

Whenever I hear the words luminous and foundation in the same sentence, I tend to walk away real fast. For someone that has combination skin that most often veers towards oily, that can turn into you just looking like a greaseball. But, it’s Becca so you know that I had to at least try it, even though that always touted Becca Glow just looks greasy and hot to me.

This foundation was a trial for most people I think, for one thing it only comes in 8 shades. According to Becca they’re flexible enough that they adapt to each person’s individual skin tone. Though how something neutral is going to adapt to my yellow/gold/peach undertones was entirely beyond me, but I decided to be a boss about it and do it anyway.

(Re-Upload) New For Fall: Kiko Milano Neo Noir Collection

IMAG4680

Autumn is officially here. In makeup land anyway. It seems like every year the new collections debut earlier and earlier, soon we’ll be having the Autumn in June. Which you know, won’t suck because I tend to prefer the Fall offerings anyway cause the colour schemes are generally the ones that I prefer cause I’m a boring bitch.

(Re-Upload) Soap & Glory Glow All Out Illuminating Finishing Powder, Plus Too Faced Candlelight Glow In Warm Glow.

IMAG3701

I’ve never tried any Soap & Glory products. They’re like the British drugstore version of Benefit with a very retro look and feel, and colour wise, they’re about as inclusive it seems. In any case it was there and at only $15 each, I had a hard time choosing between this, and two blushes from the brand. Since I’m rapidly becoming a finishing powder/highlighter fiend I went with this.

(Re-Upload) NYX Ombre Blushes.

IMAG2942

As usual, NYX went and debuted a buttload of stuff for Spring. I didn’t as nuts as I usually do, mostly because everything looked so amazing that  couldn’t really make my mind up. But also, a lot of things just basically dupes of each other, like all the contouring stuff. I do mean to get a couple of other things, but since I’m a blush hoarder that’s what I started with.

(Re-Upload) Jouer LE Mermaid Collection.

IMAG3937

This is my first bonafide Jouer purchase. I remember that I got a lip gloss in a Glossybox some time ago, and while I thought it was ok, I didn’t run out and get a bunch of stuff from the brand because I wasn’t all that impressed cause, I’m not a gloss kinda chick. And real talk? It seemed like a real white identified line.

I’ve been eyeing a few things on the site though since some of my fave brown bloggers (@JackieAina and Danielle) seem to like them so…

(Re-Upload)Experimenting With The Drugstore: Beauty Treats (Picture Heavy and Detailed).

IMAG3511_1

I can’t remember who exactly it was that I heard raving about this brand, but I was intrigued. Since I don’t use a lot of American drugstore brands  beyond the ones that are main stream and super popular, me not having heard of something is not really a surprise. When I went to check this brand out, I quickly learned that it has something of a cult following owing not only to it’s very inexpensive price points, but also to it’s highly pigmented, very functional products. Once again, I got almost every thing here from BeautyJoint. I can’t remember if I told you guys last post or not, but BeautyJoint’s shipping is ridiculous (starts at $14) for anything under $70, which is when they start offering free shipping, and so it just made sense for me to order the stuff that I wanted here even though I didn’t get everything that I wanted.
