Zoeva Cosmetics Germany Shadow Palettes.

IMAG1805_1

Hello lovelies! Can I just tell you? I totally spaced on the last few posts. I’ve been so busy, that not only did I not remember to write post, I didn’t even remember what day it was so I couldn’t do a late night emergency post. And if you asked me what it was that made me so busy? Couldn’t tell you. In any case it’s a good thing that I couldn’t do an emergency post because what I have for you today is a bit much.

Zoeva Cosmetics Germany; Luxe Colour Blush & Luxe Cream Lipstick.

IMAG1805_1

This is gonna be a simpler, shorter (I hope) post than the last, because I only have four items. Along with the palettes, I also got two blushes and two lipsticks. The last few items was a bit of a mixed bag. I liked or could work with some items, but was disappointed in others. Let’s start off with what I liked better.

A Sexy 3Sum With Guerlain.

IMAG3036

After my great experience with the Guerlain Meteorites compact, I decided that maybe I needed to explore the brand a bit. I actually had one thing tucked away in the back of my “Never Gonna Use But What The Hell Do I Do With It” drawer, we all have one, don’t front. This is something that my mum had given me a while back, I want to say a year ago, but it may have been longer, the plastic on the box hadn’t even been removed. To tell the truth I have no idea where she got it, she and my sister disappeared for like a week to Miami I think and she came back with this knowing my finishing powder obsession, but like I said at the time I’d thought of Guerlain as a very dated brand, and getting it from my mum did nothing to diminish that perception.

The Luxury Makeup Rampage Continues With Chantecaille

IMAG2632

I got the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation because I’d heard nothing but seriously excellent things about it. But legit? When I first tried it, I friggin hated it with a cold a brittle passion, because it seemed it had no coverage whatsoever. I did a “Yo, are you frigging kidding me right now? For $76 this is what I effing get”?

Then I calmed the hell down, and decided to work with what I had, so to speak.

Guerlain Meteorites Illuminating Powder Compact.

IMAG3288

I’ve heard so many rave reviews of Guerlain’s Meteorites that I’ve wanted to try it forever. Everyone from pale to dark brown girls sing it’s praises. But, I could not ever bring myself to get it because…well, it was just a bit old fashioned looking wasn’t it? I mean every time I look at a container of Guerlain Meteorite pearls, all I can think of is the same container on my Aunt Vi’s vanity when I was seven, and she was already way into her sixties…so yeah. In fact, when I thought of Guerlain at all, I thought dated, so I never gave the brand a second glance really even when my mum gave me something (I didn’t open it till recently so I had no idea what it was) as a gift.

New For Fall: Kiko Milano Neo Noir Collection

IMAG4680

Autumn is officially here. In makeup land anyway. It seems like every year the new collections debut earlier and earlier, soon we’ll be having the Autumn in June. Which you know, won’t suck because I tend to prefer the Fall offerings anyway cause the colour schemes are generally the ones that I prefer cause I’m a boring bitch.

By Terry…

IMAG2891

By Terry is another luxury brand that I’ve been wanting to try out for the longest time now. I could not however, bring myself to pay full price for it. Why though? I’ve paid higher prices for Burberry, Armani, Guerlain and Le Metier de Beaute, so what was the hitch here? I dunno, just looking at the products made me feel as if they were incredibly over priced, I just had a feeling I suppose.

SpaceNK had a massive sale a while back, and I was able to get the Cover Expert foundation which normally costs $66 for only $33. I also picked up two of the Terrybly Velvet Rouge liquid lipsticks at full price of $46.50 each. The lipsticks and the Terrybly Densiliss Blush were the things that I’d wanted to try, but I decided to hold off on the blush until I checked out these other things, because at $72, it needed to be perfect.

Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Blush or Fluid Sheer?

2016-04-01

Did I mention where I’m completely obsessed with Giorgio Armani? I mean, two of my favourite foundations are Armani, and for a long time I wanted to try the Fluid Sheers, but I couldn’t really figure out what they were at first. Where they blush? Luminiser? What the heck are they?!?! Then they’re truly huge, a little over an ounce for $62, plus with 18 shades my confusion just blossomed and I sort of gave up on trying to narrow down the perfect shade, since I wasn’t going to get three or four at that price point.

Kiko Milano LE Lovegrove Summer Collection.

IMAG0008_1

Isn’t that packaging to die for?!?!

So I’d told you guys that I did another Kiko haul right? I’d hauled their two new collections, The Artist and this one. Unfortunately, I don’t know who the hell packed this stuff because almost all of it came smashed to bits. Yeah, sad as hell cause the blush from this collection that came broken is hella pretty when applied, much more so than the one that survived intact. Kiko doesn’t send out replacements unfortunately, they just refund you and then you have to repurchase, something I’m opting to not do at the moment, I may revisit it again, but I’m unsure. I really hate those refund and repurchase policies, particularly when it’s your fault that my stuff came broken. /rant.

Burberry Beauty; Lip And Cheek Blooms

IMAG2074_1

Really, I got these because of the pretty. Like for real, if you look at these on any website and don’t immediately reach for your credit card (or you know, some willing sucker’s) then you have the fortitude of job my friend. I however, do not, so buy I did.

The Burberry Lip & Cheek Blooms are multi-use products for cheeks and (duh) lips. You guys know how I feel about multi-use products , I think most of them do one job well, and not the other so more often than not I don’t even bother to try them as lip products because of this is where they fail. In this case I didn’t either.

There are six colours available in the range, and of the six colours I got five Hydrangea, which I purchased after all the others and didn’t swatch because when I received it, it was a lot cooler looking than it looked online, so I gave it to someone and I really hate giving people things that my fingers have been in. The other colours I got were Peony, Orange Blossom, Poppy and Purple Tulip.
