A couple of months ago, when I’d done the Sephora Marsala Palette review, I’d gotten into a conversion with Elizabeth I think, about eye shapes and how they affect the way you apply shadow, how long said shadow is likely to last, as well as whatever transfer may or may not happen. People have all types of eye shapes, some come in one flavour, others in a mixture.
Personally, my eye shape is a mixture of about three different types. I have deep set eyes that are almond shaped. The deep set of my eye sockets, makes shadow transfer and muddy looking colour very common. Certain brands of eye shadow like Too Faced, Coastal Scents or Tarte work best for me because they rarely transfer from my lower lid to the upper, and don’t become muddy. The almond shape and the small size of my eyes, makes liquid liner very hard to apply, and because of the height of my cheekbones, my eyes are also slightly upturned at the corners. I’ve come up, over much trial and error, with ways of making things work for me, knowing what I can and can’t do, and ways of accentuating, because I feel that my eyes are my best feature.
