New For Fall: Kiko Milano Neo Noir Collection

IMAG4680

Autumn is officially here. In makeup land anyway. It seems like every year the new collections debut earlier and earlier, soon we’ll be having the Autumn in June. Which you know, won’t suck because I tend to prefer the Fall offerings anyway cause the colour schemes are generally the ones that I prefer cause I’m a boring bitch.

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipstick.

IMAG3221

I’m not the hugest fan of Tarte lip products. I find that a lot of times the textures are so thick that they can come off looking rather clayish. Which is a good and bad thing. Good cause that means that they have a lot of coverage. But bad in that the high coverage can make them look unnatural and not only cakey, but collect in the creases of the lips.

Tarte Double Duty Beauty Eye & Cheek Palette.

IMAG3225

This is the only item that I’d picked up from the Double Duty line. If you remember I’d said that I didn’t care for most of the line, and I don’t but these two little palettes were just so cute that I couldn’t resist. The one that I got, Sultry Star Power, I chose simply because the blush looked doable for my skin tone. I wasn’t really sold on the colours in the palette, but as usual Tarte outfoxed me with their eye shadows.

By Terry…

IMAG2891

By Terry is another luxury brand that I’ve been wanting to try out for the longest time now. I could not however, bring myself to pay full price for it. Why though? I’ve paid higher prices for Burberry, Armani, Guerlain and Le Metier de Beaute, so what was the hitch here? I dunno, just looking at the products made me feel as if they were incredibly over priced, I just had a feeling I suppose.

SpaceNK had a massive sale a while back, and I was able to get the Cover Expert foundation which normally costs $66 for only $33. I also picked up two of the Terrybly Velvet Rouge liquid lipsticks at full price of $46.50 each. The lipsticks and the Terrybly Densiliss Blush were the things that I’d wanted to try, but I decided to hold off on the blush until I checked out these other things, because at $72, it needed to be perfect.

Kevyn Aucoin The Gossamer Loose Powder Diaphanous.

IMAG2359

Would you ever spend $72 on a finishing powder? Well, if it’s this one you just might. Pull up a seat and check this out.

The Gossamer Loose Powder is not new, it’s in fact a re-launch of a powder that was a staple in the collection years ago. But, unlike other KA icons like the Sensual Skin Enhancer, this isn’t one that gets a lot of attention and I’m not really sure why.

It comes in two shades Diaphanous, and Radiant Diaphanous which imparts more of a warmth to the skin. I owned one of these eons ago in Diaphanous, and picked up Radiant Diaphanous a few months back. Or I intended to anyway, I was sent the wrong colour and I’m not sure yet if I want to send this back or just invest in both as each have their own particular uses to me.

Pinrose Debuts @Sephora!

SephoraCollection_Lineup2

Have you guys ever heard of Pinrose?

Well neither had I up until a few months ago, so let me introduce you, I promise you won’t regret it. But first a disclaimer. You lot know that when I’m passionate about or really love something, these posts get rather long-ish, so get a drink or something and read on.

So far as fragrances are concerned, I’m a one fragrance kind of gal. Maybe two, if I’m feeling adventurous and want to switch it up from season to season. But generally speaking, it’s mostly one for at least nine months out of the year, and then another for the summer.

Soap & Glory Glow All Out Illuminating Finishing Powder, Plus Too Faced Candlelight Glow In Warm Glow.

IMAG3701

I’ve never tried any Soap & Glory products. They’re like the British drugstore version of Benefit with a very retro look and feel, and colour wise, they’re about as inclusive it seems. In any case it was there and at only $15 each, I had a hard time choosing between this, and two blushes from the brand. Since I’m rapidly becoming a finishing powder/highlighter fiend I went with this.
