NYX Ombre Blushes.

IMAG2942

As usual, NYX went and debuted a buttload of stuff for Spring. I didn’t as nuts as I usually do, mostly because everything looked so amazing that  couldn’t really make my mind up. But also, a lot of things just basically dupes of each other, like all the contouring stuff. I do mean to get a couple of other things, but since I’m a blush hoarder that’s what I started with.

Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Blush or Fluid Sheer?

2016-04-01

Did I mention where I’m completely obsessed with Giorgio Armani? I mean, two of my favourite foundations are Armani, and for a long time I wanted to try the Fluid Sheers, but I couldn’t really figure out what they were at first. Where they blush? Luminiser? What the heck are they?!?! Then they’re truly huge, a little over an ounce for $62, plus with 18 shades my confusion just blossomed and I sort of gave up on trying to narrow down the perfect shade, since I wasn’t going to get three or four at that price point.

Jouer LE Mermaid Collection.

IMAG3937

This is my first bonafide Jouer purchase. I remember that I got a lip gloss in a Glossybox some time ago, and while I thought it was ok, I didn’t run out and get a bunch of stuff from the brand because I wasn’t all that impressed cause, I’m not a gloss kinda chick. And real talk? It seemed like a real white identified line.

I’ve been eyeing a few things on the site though since some of my fave brown bloggers (@JackieAina and Danielle) seem to like them so…

Kiko Milano LE Lovegrove Summer Collection.

IMAG0008_1

Isn’t that packaging to die for?!?!

So I’d told you guys that I did another Kiko haul right? I’d hauled their two new collections, The Artist and this one. Unfortunately, I don’t know who the hell packed this stuff because almost all of it came smashed to bits. Yeah, sad as hell cause the blush from this collection that came broken is hella pretty when applied, much more so than the one that survived intact. Kiko doesn’t send out replacements unfortunately, they just refund you and then you have to repurchase, something I’m opting to not do at the moment, I may revisit it again, but I’m unsure. I really hate those refund and repurchase policies, particularly when it’s your fault that my stuff came broken. /rant.

Skincare Obsessions: Cleansing Oils.

Recently I tried two cleansing oils. I’ve wanted one for a while now, mostly because I was curious. You guys know that I use olive oil to first cleanse the dirt and makeup off my face and then I go in with a face wash to complete the job. You also know that I’m pretty damn lazy, so I wanted something that would cut that time in half. A built in wash in my face oil, I’ve tried to do it before and the results were not good. Trust me, you haven’t experienced pain until you have an oil and soap mix in you eyes that you can’t wash out.

The problem that I was coming across was that most of the cleansing oils that I saw usually had a heavy amount of Shea or coconut oils and that, for me, is a trip to break out city. I decided to go with a brand that I’ve loved for a while, and another that I’m rapidly falling in love with.

HauteLook Joe Fresh (Canadian Drugstore) Haul.

IMAG3832_1

Are you guys familiar at all with Joe Fresh? I mean, I know of the clothing side of the brand, I own a couple pairs of very unique jeans that I absolutely adore and I’d heard about their cosmetics line intermittently. The brand is a Canadian drugstore one, so being able to find it anywhere in the states is almost impossible, and while finding no shortage of Canadian bloggers that have reviewed the line, finding a dark skinned one proved to be impossible. I found not a one. A month ago Haute Look had a Joe Fresh for sale (they frequently have the brand this is the third time I’ve seen), and they had the entire line, everything priced between $4 and $11. I did some damage.

Anti Holiday 2016-BH Cosmetics Marble Collection Palettes.

IMAG5194

I find it patently ridiculous that with all the holiday items, many of them more grandiose, that this was the package that I was most excited to get in the mail. I think that a lot of it has to do with the aesthetic of the thing, these palettes are like nothing we’ve seen from BH so far.
