New! Too Faced Natural Love Collection.

IMAG7233

I haven’t purchased a Too Faced palette since the Chocolate Bon Bons palette that I returned the next day. The brand’s recently been so hit or miss with their palettes that I’ve just been very meh about them and whenever there’s a new Too Faced launch I’m all…ok? When I saw this beauty though with thirty shades, my heart skipped a beat. In fact, my heart skipped a couple beats at the entire Natural Love collection and although the palette was on my list, the things that I truly wanted most was one of the new shades of Melted Matte liquid lipstick, and at least two of the three highlighters.

The aim of this collection is natural beauty, everything is supped make you look gorgeous, but naturally so. On the face of it, it’s a gorgeous collection, but once you get to it…well…

(Re-Upload) Another Kiko Milano Haul.

IMAG4294_1

What can I say? I like the brand. Plus, I knew if I waited patiently some of the things that I wanted from early summer releases would eventually go on sale, and oh baby have they ever! To the tune of over 50% off both the Artist and Lovegrove collections are now on sale. I flirted with the idea of getting a lot more stuff, since over the July 4th weekend, they also had an additional 30% off coupon, but in the end I decided to go ahead and just get the things that I really really wanted, everything else can wait. I also picked up three items from the new Beauty Games collection, there were more items that I wanted from that collection, but I decided to go ahead and get the things that had the highest sell-out probability, I’m not doing a review on those today either, I’ll wait till I get the rest of the items that I want.

(Re-Upload) ABH Modern Renaissance Palette.

IMAG0380

I’ll tell you a little secret, or maybe it’s not such a secret, I routinely get rid of most of my makeup. I get so much stuff that I get overwhelmed and even though I like most of it, there are things that I tend to reach for much more. The things that are just swatched for a blog post and maybe used once, I may sell, or most likely I’ll just pack a couple boxes, take them in to work and leave them for the other ladies to go through. Some things though, I never get rid of. I usually don’t get rid of my LE edition or Holiday items unless I truly hate them. And I never, ever get rid of my ABH palettes. Never. There is absolutely nothing that can get me to part with them.

(Re-Upload) L’Oreal’s New Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation.

IMAG4196

I love the Pro-Matte version of this foundation so much that when I heard glow I was all “hell yeah!”

This was part of my birthday haul, and boy did I ever haul. I did mostly drugstore stuff this year mostly because lately I’ve been getting a lot of really good drugstore stuff. Plus while almost all of the higher end brands are debuting very similar items, the drugstore brands have been quietly innovating and perfecting their formulas to compete, and some dominate. L’Oreal, has become my go too American drugstore brand, very rarely does anything that I purchase fail me, and I’ve been extremely happy with the foundations that I’ve gotten.

So I suppose I was due for a disappointment yeah?

(Re-upload) Holiday 2016: Smashbox Light It UP L.A. Lights Palette

IMAG4985_2

Oh my god guys! I have such a backlog of products to review for you all. Three weeks ago my work schedule changed and I haven’t been able to write anything since then. Luckily, I was still taking pictures but not writing anything new, so I still have a lot of my vacation haul left to write about, plus a bunch of holiday stuff too. I’m gonna alternate them and maybe by December we can get through all of it, whaddya think? No? Probably not. By the way? If this doesn’t hit the airwaves till after 1? It’s cause I’m writing the night before and I’m hella sleepy so grammatical mistakes abound. And will need to be corrected.

(Re-Upload) Collective Vacation Haul: Illamasqua Vanitas Rose Gold Collection.

IMAG4494

For some reason I don’t see a lot of people reviewing Illamasqua. It’s probably because it’s super expensive and there’s no place to buy in the states. But I think I mentioned before if you buy something from Illamasqua.com and it hits a hundred dollars, (which ain’t hard in the least) you get your order in two days cause they ship it express. I didn’t however, purchase this from the Illamasqua site cause I dithered around so much that Beauty Bay finally got it in stock, and the deal was too good to pass up despite the fact that unless you spend like $400 on BB you’re gonna get your stuff in 13 days the end, unless you pay thirty dollars for express.

But this was too good a deal. The palette is $59 but BB has it for $42. The lipsticks are $30 but BB has them for $21.40, because of that I was only able to get two colours cause the rest were sold out, but the two colours that I got were the ones that I really wanted anyway.

(Re-Upload) NYX Go-To Palettes.

IMAG0558

I for serious wish that NYX would debut all their new stuff at once, you know, to save this princess from having to order like every flippin’ week.

I saw the Go-To Palettes on the site when I went to check my order status, for the last order that I had placed. They look remarkably like the Avant Pop Palettes so at first I didn’t realise that they were new. Like the Avant Pop Palettes, these are $17, but instead of having 12 shadows, you get six, a highlighter, a blush and a bronzer.

(Re-Upload) Collective Vacation Haul: Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation & Colour Correcting Primer.

IMAG4536

You know how I’m always on about how Hourglass doesn’t really cater to dark skin beyond a certain point, so the brand was permanently, sorta off my radar? Well, Hourglass came through. Clearly someone over at head office has been listening to not only the criticism of Hourglass itself, but to the uproar from brown girls and allies in the beauty community about the absolute lack of representation and colour choices available in everything from foundation to blush and beyond. I mean there’s always been grumbling, but in the last few months black girls were like “um…you can’t fug wit me? Cool, I can’t fug wit you either”. When I say they came through, they did so like the Roman army, they conquered, put down stakes and made the scene their own. 26 shades people. 26. Their new Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation comes in 26 shades of awesome that range from the very lightest to the very darkest, and undertones for all! Got peachy undertones (raises hand)? Got golden undertones (raises hand again cause weird), got red, olive or neutral undertones? Not to worry, they got you. And for once, brown girls aren’t saddled with just neutral or red undertones in their foundation, the undertone process is very democratic, and we finally have more than two shades to choose from. From a mainstream brand, this is kinda huge ya’ll.

(Re-Upload/Dupe Alert!) Makeup Revolution’s New Ultra Strobing Cream & Blur Primer…So Worth It!

IMAG0170

So loooong after I purchased these, I realised something. The Blur Primer is a dupe for either the YSl Touche Eclat Blur Primer which is $52 or the Guerlain L’Or Pure Radiance Primer which is $74. And although both rock, this is just as good for a whole lot less, in truth it’s closer in consistency and performance to the YSl and I actually prefer this one, YSL primers and I don’t seem to mesh well. Since I have to re-upload my blog life, I thought I’d just  update this post to reflect that, also when I purchased this it was only available on the MUR website, it’s now available at Ulta.com. You’re welcome and enjoy.

These were a total whim, I mean I got them because they were new, and I wasn’t really sure what a strobing cream was all about and I had to know, just had to. The primer I got because at that particular time I hated all of the ones I had, it bes like that sometimes.

NEW! Ulta Collection Complexion Products.

IMAG6622_1

I’ve been trying to get this post done forever, but I keep having to put out fires which sucks because this is a good one. I’d gotten these when I did the Ulta haul and picked up the highlighters a few months back, and like the highlighters the items I’m reviewing today are mostly on the bomb side.
